Men need other men to help them with the struggles men face. Men need accountability although it's difficult to admit at times.

It's so easy to go through life with the macho attitude that is portrayed from Hollywood.

After all, men are tough and can handle things on their own. When was the last time you saw John Wayne or Clint Eastwood ask for help? They answered to no man but themselves.

Don't fool yourselves.

Men need accountability partners for many areas of their lives. This doesn't mean these men are weak wimps that have no control over their lives.

Actually it takes a pretty strong man to admit he has failed in any area of his life. It's always more difficult to humble yourself and ask for help than to try to do things alone knowing you could fail. The single greatest area that men need accountability with today is with their sexual purity.

This is a battle that simply can't be won alone.

Statistics have shown that 97% of men reportedly have struggled with pornography and other sexually related issues in their lives. The other 3% of men surveyed are probably not being completely truthful. J

This organization really made accountability groups popular among men. They help men learn to become better husbands, fathers, employees, employers, friends...men.

They stress the need for a vibrant growing walk with Jesus and some close and transparent relationships with a few other men. The men in these small accountability groups work together to help each other grow spiritually, remain sexually pure, build a strong family life, have integrity in the workplace, and work on any other areas that each man may deem necessary.

Promise Keepers is a wonderful organization that you should support if possible and their conferences are highly recommended. They can change your life.

Again, we want to stress the need for every man to become involved in some type of personal accountability. Setting Captives Free, Porn-Free and Promise Keepers are outstanding resources that will help you in your quest for sexual purity, but they can't do it without effort from you.

Remember what 1 Corinthians 6:18 says: "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body."

Whether you are a man or a woman you must take action if you are to remain sexually pure.

It simply will not happen by itself. Think of accountability as part of a three step process. We like to call this process PAW.

First, decide on a PLAN. Second, ACT on that plan. Third, WIN the battle. Take the first step today! As you PAW your way through this battle with your accountability partner you will find that winning is possible!

Also, if you don't have an Internet Filter then install one today. Do whatever it takes to protect yourself and your family. Develop those life-long accountability relationships and call for help when you are tempted.
